Preparation: A Spiritual Journey
By Sakina A
What does it mean to surrender your heart to the Divine?
In Preparation: A Spiritual Journey, debut poet Sakina A invites readers into the quiet, courageous transformation of a soul embracing Islam. With poignant honesty and lyrical grace, this deeply personal collection of poetry explores the milestones and mysteries of a Muslim convert’s path—through longing, love, struggle, motherhood, and spiritual awakening.
For over two decades, Sakina A has walked the path of faith as both a seeker and a witness. Her poems offer intimate reflections on tawheed (divine oneness), the love of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the tests of inner struggle, and the sacred rhythm of family life. Written from the heart of a doctor, mother, and woman of faith, each verse carries the wisdom of lived experience and the beauty of spiritual devotion.
Readers of all backgrounds—Muslim and non-Muslim alike—will find solace, recognition, and inspiration in these pages. Whether you’re a convert navigating your own spiritual journey, a woman seeking reflections rooted in faith, or a reader drawn to authentic spiritual voices, Preparation speaks directly to the human heart.
